MS-IL is looking for a dependable Onsite Supervisor for a large Manufacturing company in Greensburg, IN! This is a direct-hire, internal position.

Onsite Supervisor: Purpose of Job

Coordinate temporary employees in a manufacturing environment; ensuring procedures of client are met and product is running smoothly. Achieve client satisfaction pertaining to needs and requirements. Recruit and place employees into customer’s location, fulfilling orders.

Onsite Supervisor: Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to make independent decisions concerning the best interest of our client’s needs, and to act decisively when necessary to ensure clients’ needs are not compromised;
  • Oversee onsite employees;
  • Collaborates with other team members to formulate initiatives to best satisfy client’s needs;
  • Accurately process employee’s times sheets;
  • Ensure product is running at a pace that fulfills or exceeds client requirements;
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays and weekends;
  • Investigates/reviews routine occurrences and complaints and prepares reports for administrative personnel;
  • Follow human resource policies as it pertains to employment processes;
  • Maintain all applicable report, paperwork and files;
  • Serve as primary contact person for temporary staff;
  • Serve as primary contact and liaison for client;
  • Monitor operations to ensure that temporary staff members comply with client policies, procedures, MS-IL polices and government regulations;
  • Perform at all times in a professional manner and handle conflict with good judgment;
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities;
  • Follow Company chain of command;
  • Perform other duties as instructed or assigned.

Onsite Supervisor:Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with all policies, practices and procedures;
  • Participate in pro-active team efforts to achieve MS-IL Staffing goals;
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill;
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
  • Ability to write routine reports;
  • Ability to speak effectively to clients, management, coworkers and employees;
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure;
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists;
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form;
  • Advanced personal computer skills are necessary, to include electronic mail, and word processing;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Onsite Supervisor: Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid and active motor vehicle operator’s license;
  • Minimum two years’ supervisor experience;
  • College degree/certification preferred;
  • Human resources experience preferred;
  • Background check required;

Onsite Supervisor: Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Ability to handle various variables as it pertains to interaction with others and isolation;
  • Strenuous physical activity on a daily basis;
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds;
  • Continuous phone use;
  • Ability to speak for majority of work day.
