Business Development Manager

Purpose of Job: The Business Development Manager works to improve MS-IL market position and achieve financial growth. This person defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

  • Locates and/or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities;
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments;
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with Company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials;
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations;
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments:
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Research organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets;
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings;
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events;
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and sales displays;
  • Develop sales goals;
  • Ability to make independent decisions concerning the best interest of our client’s needs, and to act decisively when necessary to ensure clients needs are not compromised;
  • Maintain client satisfaction by handling client inquiries and complaints;
  • Collaborates with other team members to formulate initiatives to best satisfy clients needs;
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays and weekends;
  • Follow human resource policies as it pertains to employment processes;
  • Perform at all times in a professional manner and handle conflict with good judgment;
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities;
  • Follow Company chain of command;
  • Perform other duties as instructed or assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Comply with all policies, practices, and procedures;
  • Participate in pro-active team efforts to achieve MS-IL Staffing goals;
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill;
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
  • Ability to write routine reports;
  • Ability to speak effectively to clients, management, co-workers and employees;
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure;
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists;
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form;
  • Advanced personal computer skills are necessary, to include electronic mail, and word processing;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid and active motor vehicle operator’s license
  • Minimum five years work experience in sales in staffing field or related field
  • College degree/certification in Business or related field
  • Understanding of quality systems
  • Willing to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Experience in outsourcing, packaging and logistics a preferred
  • Clean background check

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Ability to handle contact isolation for primary part of workday
  • Sedentary activity performing non-strenuous activity of an office nature
  • Ability to key continuously throughout the day
  • Ability to speak for majority of work day
