A shift model

Built around life

The challenge

A well-known athletic apparel manufacturer was struggling to keep every shift reliably covered. Like many production employers, they needed a workforce plan that kept output steady without constantly scrambling to fill gaps.

The solution

  • Identified a large, underused talent pool: parents who wanted steady work that fit around their kids’ school schedules
  • Designed the working parent shift, a schedule built around school drop-off and pick-up times
  • Rolled it out as a standing shift option alongside the manufacturer’s existing schedule

Results

Higher
Production output

Lower
Employee turnover

Improved
Workplace morale

Flexibility isn’t a perk. It’s a staffing strategy that keeps shifts covered and people employed.
